Stopping Sexual Scandal In The Messianic Movement - Part 9

In Matthew 6:23 Yeshua warns us that "If the eye be evil, the whole body will be brim-full of darkness (and) if the light within be darkness, how extreme is the darkness!"
Right now I want to talk about pornography. It's a subject that makes alot of men squirm. They shy away from it in the spotlight, even if they gravitate toward it as soon as the curtain is drawn and the lights dim. I actually met some men last spring following a meeting in Missouri about how to deal with sexual assault, and they promptly ended the conversation, literally started walking away mid-sentence and headed for their cars as soon as I mentioned it. That it itself should be evidence that it needs addressed.
Pornography use is evil desire of the eyes being fed and watered. Pornography creates predators (lust carried out in physical fleshly manifestations), and porn and predators plague the Hebrew Roots movement every bit as much as they do the church. A greater travesty though is when purported men of faith attempt to use Torah to justify these types of actions, or else use their position to cause disbelief of the ones who have been violated. Porn is justified by certain adherants to the Hebrew Roots movement. It's time that we say "no more" and call it out.
Matthew 23:26-28 reads "Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, so that the outside may become clean as well. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside, but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and every kind of impurity. In the same way, on the outside you appear to be righteous, but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness."
According to stats from the Barna Group and Covenant Eyes:
Over 40 million Americans regularly frequent porn sites
Pornography increases marital infidelity rates by 300+%.
The average child is exposed to porn at 11 yrs, & 94% will be exposed by age 14.
56% of divorces involve one spouse having an “obsessive interest” in porn sites.
68% of church-going men & 50% of pastors view porn regularly.
76% of young Christian men age 18-24 actively search it.
33% of women under 26 actively search at least once a month.
55% of married men & 25% of married women say they watch porn at least once a month.
Porn is the largest gateway to actual, physical child sexual abuse.
Tim Ballard, formerly of Operation Underground Railroad, who himself has since been exposed as a sexual predator once interviewed sex offenders who explained how it was legal porn that led them to child porn and abusing child victims. Ironicly, when I confronted the minister's son who violated members of our family, he also revealed that pornography is what started him on his addiction to molesting minors.
The poll I just cited is only the admissions, however, and not the extent of the damage. 100% of pastors who watch pornography do not admit to watching it. Will those religious leaders who did a 180 at the mere mention of porn admit to watching it if any of them watch it? It's not very high chances. 100% of laymen or highschool students will never admit it either. Even when presented with the evidence of their actions in a court of law, some will still hold out protesting their innocence, like Josh Duggar for example. The remnants of honor and shame culture in America, although rapidly fading, still prevent the full extent of the carnage which porn causes from being truly known.
This plague of porn, just like child sexual abuse which feeds off of it, is much bigger than what is actually reported, and if you think the Messianic, Hebrew Roots, Quiverfull, Homeschooling, Patriarchy or Modesty movements are in any shape or form immune, you have been snowed. Not by a white and fluffy kind of snow, but by something which is dark, deviate, deadly and dreadful. Further, if you think your family is immune, you just put your kids in the position of a pornographic king and queen in Playboy Jr with no protection. I say that because no extent of modesty will protect your daughters from immoral men and boys replicating the example of morally reprobate role models. Muslim women in full garb still get raped every day by religious men in third world countries. Mennonite girls in all modesty still get raped and murdered by ex-mennonite boys in America!
2 Cor 6:14-19. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Messiah with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of Elohim with idols? for ye are the temple of the living Elohim; as Yahweh hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be Eloah to them, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith Yahweh, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith Yahweh Almighty.
